We’ve booked to stay here in August. Can anyone tell me what’s nearby please? Shops restaurants? Is there mini golf 😬
How far will it be to Disney from here?
Also if you were to drive from here for the day somewhere different where would you choose... Palm Springs, LA, beach?
Trying to make the most of staying in the hotel but experience different places, it’s initially being used as a Disney and knotts berry base.

If you want to do Universal, a studio tour or have any interest in LA that could be a day trip as long as you plan to avoid the commute hours.

Palm Springs is out, it would be way too long to drive when you factor in freeway traffic and at that time of year it will be 40 degrees + so it’s best enjoyed lounging by the pool. You would be miserable walking about the town in the heat.

From your other threads it seems like you need to get to Vegas at some point so an overnight in Palm Springs would work if you wanted to see it.

I would explore the beach towns in Orange County if i was in your shoes. They are close by, there are some lovely towns some very upmarket like Laguna Beach and some more relaxed like Huntington Beach. None of them will have loungers and umbrellas though so bring blankets, towels etc.

We stayed here for 2 weeks & did 5 days at Disney then beaches & sights...
Santa Monica was a right treck tbh but Lugna was my fav local beach by far but with roads & traffic took about 45mins to get there.

Stayed here last year for 3 nights to do Disneyland. There are plenty of restaurants in the area (anything you could want from breakfast places like iHop, Denny's & Coco's Bakery, to your usual fast food and then loads of sit down restaurants like Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gump, Outback Steakhouse etc) and also a giant Target and a Walmart about 5 mins away too. It was only a 5 - 10 mins drive to the Disneyland parking garage.
Not sure I'd do many day trips to LA and further afield from here though - we drove here from LA where we had spent the previous 3 days and it took us almost 2 hours in traffic and it wasn't even rush hour so I definitely wouldn't want to go through that twice in one day coming and going...

We have stayed here twice. Great location & they used do a shuttle bus to the Disney for a small charge which was great. Outback steakhouse just across the road & target 5 mins walk. I would only criticism of the hotel is that we found it very noisy, doors slamming due to the fire closers on them & walls quite thin

We’ve stayed here three times. As someone else said they have always done a shuttle bus to the park, but it’s walkable and we’ve certainly walked back several times during our stays. We’ve done Santa Monica and LA from here but the traffic does make it a bit of a trek. Last time to get beach time we stayed at Huntingdon beach first then moved here later in the holiday.
