Best Beach area closest to LBV

Hi there, we are frequent Visitors to Orlando but have never visited the beach. We are traveling in May and are hiring a car for the first time just for a couple of days and want to visit one of the closest beaches to lake buena vista. We are traveling as a couple and would welcome any tips/advice on which is the best beach/surrounding area to visit

Ok, LBV is roughly in the middle of Florida, but we would suggest you head down the I-4 towards Tampa then follow the signs for Tampa airport and Clearwater beach, about 1hr 30 minutes, but it took us nearly 3hours on the last bank holiday.

There is a beautiful beach, parking and many boat trips including Little Toot, Thriller and Screamer, booking booths are next to each other.

If you are lucky you will see a beautiful sunset

also near by is the Clearwater Aquarium, where Winter the dolphin, well worth a visit.

As above spot on, the gulf coast side beaches are just that bit nicer than the Atlantic side😉
