Cheap n cheerful hotel near Tampa?

Hey all.

My lad and a couple of his mates are planning a trip to Tampa next year to watch Wrestlemania. Can anyone recommend a 'cheap n cheerful' hotel around that area?

La Quinta is worth a look but a suite hotel with two double beds and a sofa bed might be the way to go with three of them.

We stayed in La Quinta Tampa Brandon West in Jan 2018 to make an early rise for Busch Gardens (approx 20mins away)

Hotel was only $85 for the night and I think we spent less than 8hrs there.
While it was clean and safe I wouldn't recommend it as it was very dated and badly needing repairs etc.
The staff were great, the early breakfast hit the spot & it served its purpose but wouldn't be heading back there.

I've been looking and can't find anything that looks decent yet. There are a few opposite the stadium available now but the TripAdvisor reviews are awful.

Another option I'm looking at is 2 nights near the stadium for WM and then 2 nights close to Amalie Arena. Hubby has mentioned that Smackdown is moving to Friday nights so that might change the normal schedule for the weekend. We can't get there until the Saturday anyway due to work commitments.

The final option is an AirBnB half way between the stadiums. My preference would be to walk to the events so we can both have a beer.
