I know this is late but I’m always disappointed with UK ‘German’ markets. I went to Bath and Bristol in 2018 and although much smaller Bristol was much better than Bath which was overcrowded and overpriced. We went to Cologne were they have 6 Christmas markets! Also went to Düsseldorf and Aachen but all you need is in Cologne which is brilliant. So much about people coming together and having a good time. My bratty price test : Bath £5.50, Bristol £4.50: Germany €3.50. Says it all really.
