One night near LAX

Hi all,

For our road trip in September down highway 1 we are spending the last 3 nights, 2 in San Diego and then 1 we want to be near LAX for our flight home.

We want to make the most of our final day before our flight at 9pm but as check out from a lot of places is at 11am, we are nervous to leave all of our luggage in the car whilst we explore all day.

Does anyone have any experience of this? What did you do?

Also any recommendations for a one night beach stay? We are thinking of Huntington Beach.

We stayed at Marina Del Rey, albeit on our first night, not our last , but it was very close to the airport and we stayed in a lovely hotel called the Jamaica bay. Right beside the Cheesecake Factory and a short walk to Venice beach if you wanted to see it.

When my daughter did a national collegiate equestrian final in LA, I flew out by myself. I was to arrive in the evneing so decided to stay by LAX. I would never do it again. The neighborhood gave me the creeps. JUst driving to the hotel was scary. The good news is that I mistakenly left my rental car unlocked in the hotel parking garage and it and its contents were still there in the morning.

I would look at a priceline or hotwire hotel that was 3 star or above and reasonably priced and get it through the morning after you leave.

Redondo Beach or Manhattan Beach. A hotel will store your bags after checkout, just pick them up when you�re ready to leave.

We stayed in Redondo beach. Really liked it. Having a Cheesecake Factory there was another bonus😀

Redondo Beach, we stayed in the Crowne Plaza. Right on the beach front, near the fishermans pier and the cheesecake factory and had a nice roof top pool.

Has its own multi story car park and is pretty close to the airport in LA terms.
