I used to get Cod, chips and a carton of curry sauce.

Now I’m a Veggie, I no longer get chippy teas (cross contamination).

However, we did have a Vegan pop up chippy. I got battered halloumi, chips and mushy peas. The chips were the nicest chippy chips I’d ever tasted.

Oh my, don't think I've ever known a chippy not to have mushy peas, how odd!

An abomination, IMO.

Had never heard of them til I moved to Yorkshire, still don't see the point, 15 years later!

I hardly ever go to the chipper but when I do it's a Black Pudding supper with a couple of pickled onions for me.

Got to have scraps where ever!
Got to love a patty butty too, the rest of the UK don't know what they're missing

The problem I have is that no one where I live can
Cook fish and chips properly to save their life

You need to fry in beef dripping and the only ones I know now are back in Sheffield or in aldeburgh

It’s a 100 mile journey either way so unfortunately I rarely have them where I live

And as for scraps or real mushy peas, well you got more chance of find a scratch card in the street with a 100,000 win on it

As a kid I would cycle to the local chip shop and get a cup of scraps, a bottle of Cresta and a chocolate lovely.
