I’d pay up to 5€ no more. I buy priority and a seat on Ryanair but the money virgin or BA charge is robbery

I pay because I travel solo and used to get annoyed being shifted from pillar to post to accommodate families or couples who hadn’t reserved their seats but who made it clear that I was ‘less entitled’ because I was on my own.

I pay so we sit together and at the back where they are in rows of 2
Considering how ridiculously cheap airline travel is another 100 is peanuts

I pay not just because I want to be sure to sit together but because I want a window seat.

I paid this time because I wanted extra leg room for my son who is 6ft 3.
Thought it would give him a little more room. The 3 kids are all sat together and I’m on the other side of the aisle |

None of those answers really suited me so ill explain here. I tend to book a seat for the outbound as I like to be near the exit. Inbound I dont tend to as I dont really mind where im seated.

Travelled to Fuerteventura on Saturday and for the first time ever we were split. Not in the slightest bothered by it, but I guess it shows how many people now pay.

I voted, yes we’re adults who sit together, but really it’s a bit more complicated than that.
I like to sit at the back of the plane and because I’m autistic, my mother panics a lot about if I’m sat away from her for 8 hours despite the fact that I was often away for 13 hours or more when I was at uni and I wouldn’t really talk to anyone anyway because I just don’t talk to people. So I really don’t get her logic. Basically, I don’t care if I’m sat away from people, but my mother cares about being away from me.

I've opted for happy to sit apart as we mainly do short/medium haul, however if it's long haul we pay so not the option on the poll for that.

We pay if its long haul or if im taking my granddaughter away i just think in the grand scheme of things its a tiny portion of the whole cost of the holiday . but if were travelling somewhere like spain and its just my hubby and i then i dont pay i leave it to chance for the sake of a couple of hours and for the record we have always been seated together.
