Mobile How much universal hotel in August with FOLP

Hi we are thinking about a week at universal before our stay at Disney for mid August 2020. Can anyone let me know what is a good price for both standard and club rooms. Is club worth the extra, what sort of offerings do they have at breakfast and tea? Thanks 😊

For mid August look at Portofino - it sometimes comes up cheaper than RPR and Hard Rock and it is a better hotel.

Club level is excellent. The breakfast has cooked items (eggs / potatoes / bacon / sausage) and cold items such as muffins / pastries etc.

The evening offerings are good enough to have as an evening meal - plus you get free beer / wine! It was on a 5 night rotation, themed to countries - generally it was a meat or fish dish with a vegetarian option as well and salad etc. Things like Jerk Chicken and Rice, Shepherds Pie and Potatoes etc

Snacks in the afternoon are just crisps / popcorn so not worth making a journey for if you are at the parks but nice enough to have if you are having a pool day.

We paid £210 a night for Portofino Club last August (I booked with Expedia early on and then kept checking the price as it does change quite a bit - when it went down I cancelled and re booked)

Depending on how many of you there are, Club can make a lot of sense. There were four of us and I would happily have paid £70 a day extra for it.

We have a booking through hotels.com for portifino for 7 nights club £1884, rpr was about £300 less for our dates but we wanted to try a new resort.

It is worth it - as fantastic as RPR is, Portofino is better in all regards (apart from being a longer walk)
