Claiming hotel the night before on cc

Can I claim on section 75 if the Bloc hotel refuses to refund hotel and parking stay? X X

Is the hotel closed? Did you cancel ?
If the hotel is open and you choose not to use it as you are no longer flying then that is your choice. But if you booked it as part of your holiday package then yes they should refund as its a linked booking.

Difficult. You didn’t lose your hotel and parking, as you could still have gone (assuming you would have been permitted to travel the distance to the hotel). So it’s not really the same as losing a foreign hotel because a flight was cancelled. You could try claiming it as a consequential loss, but you didn’t really lose it, IYSWIM. We were lucky that Glasgow refunded us without too much of a fuss for hotel and parking.

I believe the hotel is closed until further notice. If it remains closed until your planned date of departure then they should refund as they cannot fulfill your booking. However, if it opens and the room is available then you have no official grounds for a refund or claim.

I think you will have to wait until the date has passed to see if you can make any sort of claim or ask for refund.

We were on BA flights to Tampa at the end of August which have been cancelled. I contacted Bloc and they have agreed to refund the parking but stated that the 2 rooms we have booked are non refundable. They have however allowed us to reschedule our stay to another date 😉
