Daft question.. What's the point if friends on my fitness pal?

I've just started tracking what I eat on my fitness pal and noticed you can add friends, can anyone tell me what you can do if you have a list of friends?

Also if anyone wants to be my friend my user name is sonyamc39 :-D

It is good to see how other people are doing and also what meals people are eating if they have their food diary made public. If you are having a bad day it is good to be able to post and get advice. It really is good motivation seeing others lose weight. Will add you later when I am on the laptop, I am jenjeneng on there.

I find it works in the same way as going to Weightwatchers or Slimming world as I feel more accountable for what I eat if I think someone might notice. That doesn't stop me eating some shockingly bad things though! I'm wigwaminamustardmill on mfp if anyone would like to add me

Sloping at each others food diary to see if there's anything you're doing wrong or meals to try, encouraging each other & just the fact of sharing to egg each other on.
