Swapping fast passes?

Hiya
Just wondering if someone can help me.
I’ve seen on here comments of some of the much sought after fast passes sometimes coming available on the day - I assume if someone cancels or something.

But how do you check? If I go on my MDE and try to look at fastpass availability it tells me I’ve already got my 3 passes booked and have 2 cancel 1 experience before I can look.
I am assuming perhaps you sort of modify or something then look for a new date but I’ve never gone any further when it says this cos I’m worried of losing my existing fastpass and there bring nothing similar or better to replace it with?

Go on MDE

Click on Myplans
(This will show all your fastpasses)
Click on a booked fast pass you would sacrifice
Then Modify
Then click the members you want to modify
Then you can search what's available
(Remeber to change times etc as this will show further availability)

You original Fastpass will only be cancelled when you confirm a new Fastpass. If you don't you will not lose your original Fastpass

It really does work keep checking.

As an off-site guest I have been able to get FOP Slinky and 7DMT. Also you tend to find more people change plans closer to the day so it's never too late to check even on the day!

Yes do what ashesmod said.

We had FPs for Slinky, FOP and 7DMT as we were ale to book at 60 days for our onsite 8 days. However, after that we moved off site, we were able to get FPs for FOP for all four of us on the day on 26th August (we were sitting around the pool thinking about getting ready to go to AK for the evening, we had thought we might so had booked FPs for EE, Dinosaur and KRR at 30 days, went on app (I'm thinking it was about 4pm) and modified the Dinosaur one to FOP for that evening!

If you click cancel you will lose your existing one. You click “modify” to browse availability.
