Opening day of new ride experiences
We will be in WDW on the opening day of the new Mickey and Minnie railroad ride. Our last day and last morning in Hollywood studios was planned to be the next day but I’m wondering whether we change plans around to accommodate the opening.
I know queues for the ride will be long but we should have a disability pass so we SHOULD be able to at least get a return time rather than stand in line. I know my son will want to ride the ride because he LOVES trains and we won’t be returning any time soon to “do it next time” so I was wondering what everyone’s experiences had been of being in the parks on a new ride launch. I know things were insane for galaxies edge in the first few days and things are still nuts for rise of the resistance but I’m also assume that maybe that’s because of the nature of those openings. I can’t imagine Mickey and Minnie will necessarily warrant such insane levels of demand although I would be insane myself to things that opening day wouldn’t be very long wait times Edited at 12:52 AM. |

The Galaxy’s Edge opening day really wasn’t that nuts. I believe there were bigger queues in the morning, but things calmed in the afternoon, we entered the park very late afternoon, and ride queues were in the 80-120 min range whilst we were there. The rest of the park was fine, as was the land itself.
As you have DAS I would have thought you would be fine as you can get a return time and go and do some other things in the park for a couple of hours. I could be wrong, but I can’t see this one being as popular as ROTR or FOP |

We had das pass when galaxy's edge opened and got on smugglers run very quick, think return time was about 50 mins.
