Two Centre Ideas

Hi all.

We were thinking of 10 days in Orlando and them maybe another week somewhere else in Florida. It's the 'somewhere else" I am thinking about.

We have two young teens and a child with special needs so nowhere 'full on'. Beach time for mum...

Somewhere we can drive to and then drive back to Orlando for the flight home.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Marco Island - beach time and a very easy drive to the Everglades and Naples.

We have always gone to St Petes and stayed at the Island Grand great for the kids with stiff like guitar hero on a big screen on the beach and big inflatables in the sea

Anywhere on the Gulf Coast is fabulous, we usually go to Naples but is a long drive from Orlando, especially when you are driving back to the airport and could run into traffic probs (we use Miami Airport as only 2 hours away). Anna Maria Island or Siesta Key are beautiful with miles of white sand beaches, sunset cruises, dolphin trips (although you do see the dolphins from just sitting on the beach). Good shopping close by too, UCI Mall in Bradenton, Ellenton outlet Mall or St Armarnd's Circle. Sarasota is worth a visit, quite cultural with museums, theatres, Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium and Myakka River State Park to do an airboat ride. It's only approx 1.5 hours back to Orlando in good traffic via the I75 and I4 via Tampa or go back via the Sunshine Skyway bridge for an experience! I could go on and on but that's just some of the places on the Gulf coast worth a visit. Have fun!
