Can you recommend a Hong Kong hotel?

Hi,

We are considering an extended family trip to Hong Kong. DH lived there for a few years as a child and the family want to have a trip down memory lane and I am keen to include a day at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel that is central to all the sights and has easy access to Hong Kong Disneyland?

Any other tips, advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance x

We stayed Kowloon Shangri La last time which was absolutely fab. This year we are staying in the Icon, cheaper than the SL but gets fab reviews and a few dibbers have stayed there.

You do not need to be near Disneyland as the MTR is very good. cheap, clean and easy to use. You change at Sunny bank (?) and take a special train to Disney complete with Mickey handles and statues. So make sure your hotel is near a MTR station.

I really liked staying on the Kowloon side, fab shopping and it was really fun riding the Star Ferry over to the Island side.

Have a great trip!

echoing previous comment. We stayed in Causeway Bay next to an MTR station, we figured qe would be using the subway anyway so a cheap decent hotel next to a statuon was more important. It worked for us.

We stayed at the Icon in February and absolutely loved it there. I’ve just put my mini report on the General Trip Report section today. There’s lots more info on the hotel in that.
