Aer Lingus Exit Row Seats
I've just booked an exit row seat for a flight later this year, it's seat 30K which is a window seat on an Airbus A330-200.
Has anyone tried these exit row seats on Aer Lingus and if so how were they? I've found a couple a photos online which show an obstruction from the door which I believe is for the emergency slide, but I'm now wondering if there's still plenty of leg room in this seat. Does anyone know if this is the same on the other side of the plane seat 30A? |

We had exit row seats on the way back last August. I think we had 31AC (exit) and DE(bassinet). Children aren't allowed to sit in the exit row seats. The bit that sticks out from the door wasn't too restrictive and there was a lot of room in front of our seats. If you want a clear frontage then seat C or equivalent the other side would give it.
However... There is a crew jump seat opposite. Also, the seats were right by the toilet and passengers loiter around the space in front. Also, the toilets can be really smelly at times. Fortunately, we were assigned these seats, no extra cost, due to a seating rearrangement on the plane (they took out row 30). |

Thanks for your reply and info. It sounds as if there is enough room presuming the bit that sticks out is the same size both sides of the aircraft. As I will be travelling alone my only concern is would I need to encroach into the seat space next to me.
