Disney to Universal - Uber, Hire Car, Public Transport?

Hi Everyone,

Husband and I are visiting WDW for 2 weeks in January and staying at POR.

We are hoping to visit Universal 3 times in the 2 weeks and am wondering what the best way of getting to and from resorts is?!

Will it be cheapest to hire a car for the days we want to visit, or get an uber?

Ive heard the public transport between the 2 parks leaves a lot to be desired!

Thanks everyone, look forward to hearing from you!

Unless you would make use of the hire car for other things it will be cheapest to Uber... probably around $20-25 a journey. Don't forget parking fees come into play from next year at Disney hotels.

Do not even consider public transport, the journey would take hours... and a lot of faff!

If you are only leaving the mouse a couple of times Uber / Lyft would be best. Universal car parking is $26. So it works out nearly the same price as getting a uber over.

I did the same thing last year - visited Universal/IOA 2 days and just used Uber. Not being able to drive it was a case of no choice for me but I'd have done that anyway.
