Has he lost all his puppy teeth yet? One of our dogs went off his food at about Chips age and it turned out that he was teething. He barely ate fir a few weeks but once he was over it he was back to wolfing his food down.

He is currently teething and it seems he is suffering lots with it. I would day most of the baby teeth are through but certainly not all. So that could be playing a part

No advice as I have a Labrador that eats anything and never ever gets full, but just have to say how gorgeous Chip is!

Aww bless him, that could be the problem then. We used to freeze a carrot for ours to chew on for a bit of relief. It’s hard not to worry when they won’t eat, I remember trying lots of different foods and like Chip he would eat it fir a meal or two then refuse. As soon as all his teeth were through though he was fine. Hope he is ok soon, he’s a gorgeous boy!

Yep, been there done that. He is playing you, a dog wont starve, good idea to put the food down for 15mins, if not eaten take it away. Our mini goldendoodle Layla is now settled on Eden brand, semi moist and kibble. They will grow out of it. We were at our wits end but our trainers gave us the above tips re eating and of course having a poodle in them makes them very clever and stubborn at times.

Make some liver cake & hide a few bits of it in it's normal food. It's the one thing none of mine have ever been able to resist, not the most pleasant thing to make though.

You've got a mini goldendoodle! Me too!

OP - we had this too, at about 9 mths, so we changed his food, was the time to be changing from puppy to adult version anyway. In fact we still have it sometime during every week, we just don't stress about it now.

He eats most of what he should. In fact this morning he's eaten all of his breakfast in one go, but that's unusual.

He's maintaining his weight perfectly, which proves that he is eating enough

Same here, coat is incredibly soft. We (I mean DH) grooms Tweezer just about every day and he goes to the groomers at least every 8 weeks

Here's some photos, he's the light of my life and definitely the best medicine for a broken heart (he's named after my late Dad's nickname, and we made the decision to buy him when my Dad was killed).
