Mobile Locke and Key- Netflix

Any one watching ?
Watched the first episode last night and was abit underwhelmed.
Seemed a bit kiddy-ish and not what I was expecting .
As it’s written by Joe Hill I think I was hoping it was more supernatural than fantasy.
Will try and persevere!

We are on the 5th episode I think, really enjoying it. Reminds me of The umbrella academy.

I watched the trailer and didn't fancy it. Was undecided but think I'll give it a miss now. Loved The Umbrella Academy though.

It apparently starts off a bit like a teen film but gets a lot darker- more horror? Loved Umbrella Academy- probably my favourite series at the mo- so will watch this one.

I read the comic book series by Joe Hill and they are amazing but definitely darker, violent and gory. The series focuses on the fantasy elements of the story and removes the horror aspects, which I think was inevitable to appeal to a wider audience. Still, I enjoyed it very much despite the differences in tone and also major differences with the plot of the books - the series is its own thing.

I was hoping for a more adult, darker story like in the books though, because I'm a big horror fan!

I really enjoyed it. I thought the kids might like it but it definitely got a bit darker so I’ll not be suggesting it to them!
