FastPass with 1 night hotel stay - help pls!
Hello all,
This is my first post in a really long time but I'm hoping all of the Disney experts can help me! We visit Disney annually staying in an off-site villa, and usually take advantage of a 1 night hotel stay which enables us to FastPass 60 days out for our entire 14 days, starting from the date of the hotel reservation. We wanted to take advantage of this again and so we've booked the hotel and have our passes all setup and ready to go. However the window only seems to have opened for the 2 days that cover our 1 night reservation. Does anyone know if Disney have changed the rules around this now? I know it is frowned upon by some and I totally understand that. We have felt lucky to be able to take advantage of this previously but just wanted to check if anyone has any definitive answers on this, or is in the same position. I also feel like my brain is slightly frazzled at the moment and maybe I've made an error with the booking, but I'm working on the assumption that with a hotel reservation for 13th April, the FastPass window would open up 60 days before (which it did) and then stay open - have I got that right? As I said, we've done this a few times and never had any issues so just wondering if things have finally changed (or if I've made an error!). Thanks so much for any help that can be provided. |

yes this loop hole has now been closed, so you can do fast pass at 60 days for check in and check out day. The rest would be at 30 days.

As above loophole closed, along with the one that allowed the booking to be cancelled & still retain FP, not convinced there is any benefit to a single night stay as far as FP is concerned

That's great, thank you all so much for clarifying. Definitely agree, not worth the cost for 2 days of FP.
Thanks again! |

KL 2 trains of thought on this:
1. The "throwaway", so book campsite, don't stay but get 2 days free parking & MB- obviously if there are only 2 of you then it's not worth it but the more in your party getting MB (max of 10 on campsite) 2. Book a room that you are going to use but if you have a car you will be charged 1 night's Hotel parking & as above for MB. Is the 60 day going to work, debatable, if you are after 7DMT or FOP then I'd say no as it's the 14 day advantage that works here & we usually pick those up day 3-5 but still you are in front of the "30 dayers" for those 2 days. I believe they changed/closed loophole due to forums like this, people can't wait to come on & tell everyone how "clever" they are, it then becomes common knowledge & once enough people are doing it plus the number of complaints increase, Disney are then forced to address it. After all why pay a premium to stay onsite if I can still "get the benefits" & pay a lot less IYKWIM SD
