Mobile Where to stay near Disney off-site?

Hi

So after a week being back in the UK we have decided to try and go back in 2021 and do Disney.

We have always stayed on Idrive previously as we have usually done a lot more universal, however we have decided to go and do 2 weeks disney next time.

Our first option is to do onsite, moderate with ddp however with two growing kiddos, we thought the rooms might be a bit snug so want to also look at off-site options, but having never strayed from idrive, I don't have a clue where to look, and also what the hotels are like over there.

So if anyone can help and point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Ideally we want something where the rooms have 3 separate beds and Disney shuttles as I prefer not to have the hassle of a car on holiday.

Thanks

Does it need to be a hotel? The villa we stayed in Sunset Lakes was really close to Disney

Would a villa be an option if the kids are old enough to appreciate your own pool ?

I think that when you state" near to disney" you will have to narrow that down Near to the parks or near to Disney Springs? The latter then LBV is a good option & highly recommend Staybridge suites but there may be cheaper options. Former then you are more in the Kissimee area

Open to a villa, but always thought about needing a car with one.

Re near to Disney, anywhere nearer to Disney property that would have shuttles included.

It's 50 square miles Most if not all in LBV as I'm sure that Disney own the land, all the Hotel's on Hotel Boulevard would have been good options but your room requirement rules those out. Not sure about Kissimee as never stayed there.
A 2 bed suite at Staybridge, from memory, slept 8 consisting of: 1 Superking, 2 queens (in same room) & a double sleeper sofa , full kitchen & free breakfast

FantasyWorld resort? On the corner of 192/535 - take the Osceola Parkway or World Center Drive (I think, always get confused with the names). 5-10 mins to Disney property. They have 2-bed condos - a master bed with a King and a second room with 2 singles.

Or Storey Lake Resort - lots of choice of villas/townhome places there, and all very new. Very close to Fantasy World.

I've stayed at both and think they are a great location.

We stayed offsite in 2016 and didn't drive. We stayed at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista South on the junction of the 192 / 535. We used a combination of a pre-booked car service (using Quicksilver who advertise on here), Lynx buses (you can walk about 5 mins and get a bus that goes straight to the TTC at MK) and Ubers. Although the rooms didn't have 3 separate beds, it was a suite so had a separate living room. Not sure if the sofa was a sofa bed but it might be worth asking. The general manager of the hotel there is incredibly helpful on Tripadvisor Q&As.

I’d highly recommend the Staybridge Suites at Lake Buena Vista too, 2 min drive from DS. Restaurants nearby to walk to, shuttles to Disney, breakfast included, Manager’s special 3 nights per week - free snacks/wine/beer. Rooms are spacious, kitchen, living area, 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms. Great location.
