Average flight costs in August

Hi all

Going back to Orlando August 2020 and we are currently trying to get an idea of how much is left to pay. Anyone who has been in August with Virgin, flying directly what sort of prices have you paid?

We fly 12th and come back on the 26th.

Wowsa's!

Is it around the same to fly from Gatwick would you think?

I think this may have to be an indirect jobby!

simple answer - don't use Virgin! We are flying next month - 5 of us ( 2adults 3 children) from manchester for £1350 return with british airways! No way I would pay £1k per person!

I would guess this is indirect and via both Heathrow and Gatwick?

Which is why we fly with the likes of Thomas Cook or Thomson. Still direct flights and significantly cheaper.

We're flying with TC next August and return flights, luggage and seat booking cost £450pp.

When is your return date? If it's after the 3rd/4th Sept then it isn't a fair comparison, as your flights are off peak. You should be able to get Virgin/BA flights for around the same price shortly after they're released.

Virgin are overpriced. Stopped using them in about 2013. Check TC or TUI, I’ve booked for next August (21st) from MAN direct for just over 440 each. That was a bargain though!

Fantastic price. Was that coming back in August as well? Also when did you book these flights? We are looking for next year as well and I am a bit nervous about how much flights are going to cost. As we have 2 small children and don't drive so are stuck to Manchester really.
