May 4th at GE

Hi,

Our first Hollywood studios day is planned for May 4th and we already have a Hollywood & Vine reservation at 08:05. (Park currently opens at 09:00) My question is, do you think this park will be stupidly busy due to it being Star Wars day. I'm considering changing our plans to another park.

according to the Dibb planner https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/par...?hours=05+2020

HS is the most recommended park
TP predicted times don't seem that bad either

The park will be busy because MMRR will hopefully be open and ROR is still relatively new.

I would consider rescheduling that HS day as there is a chance WDW will have another May 4th event.

Brilliant, thank you. I was wondering if there would be anything special happening or not. Ok I’ll have a look at rearranging a few things.

So in previous years (as in last few) nothing special really happened for May 4th. However this year you never know cause GE is open. They used to start the "Star Wars Weekends" around this date to cash in on it and then the parks were rammed but I've not heard any news on these coming back. That said there are some die hard Orlando residents who do go every year on 4th May so there is probably going to be some extra crowd but I wouldn't think it will be that rammed depending on whether its a weekday or weekend compared to other days
