No that is not right. There is no boarding group to get into Galaxy's Edge. The boarding group is to ride Rise of the Resistance only. You cannot queue for that. You need a boarding group.

You can walk into the land and queue for Millennium Falcon ride if you don't get a FP+. Currently FP+ for Millennium Falcon is book up to 61 days ahead. 65 days if you want a morning FP+ for it.

Thanks for the info.
We're going in April 20.
Our fastpasses open next monday 3rd Feb - were fine tuning our targets.

Do I have this right -
I can (try) and fastpass Millenium Falcon, which if successful gets us into Galaxy's Edge - so won't need a boarding group?

Can we then try queuing for ROTR?

Thanks for your help.
161, are you sure about your FP date?

We travel April 19 and our FP date is Feb 19th.

Edit - having just seen the comment about fp+ at 65 days. The wife clearly doesnt know it all ! More research required.

I wonder if you have misinterpreted the comment about fp+ at 65 days? Most people can't get fp+ more than 60 days ahead of time.. But you can book for your holiday at 60 days. Eg we are going for 14 days staying onsite, so when our fp+ window opens at 60 days we can book for the whole 14 days, effectively booking up to 74 days ahead. But I still have to wait for day 1 to be 60 days away.

Unless I have misunderstood in which case no doubt someone will tell me!

I think they mean going in April 2020 not the 20th April.

I need your help/advice !

We are visiting Hollywood studios for 1 day only, we currently have 2 x 1 day park non expiry tickets. We plan to purchase the other 4 x 1 day tickets ‘on the gate’ - (6 in our party)

(Btw, the non expiry tickets are from the 90’s ! long story but my Auntie found them in an old suitcase about to head to the tip ! We visited the customer services at Disney Springs last trip and they swapped the paper tickets for the credit card style ones)

We used 4 x 1 day tickets on our last trip, and weren’t ‘doing disney’ this time, but have a Star Wars mad 12 year old.

So my question is : can I book fast passes at my ‘fast pass booking day’ before we go - even though we haven’t bought the other 4 tickets ?

Are the fast passes linked to tickets ?

I have booked the Build your Light Saber experience at Savils for 1.45 pm, on the 20th April 2020 - as this is showing green for Hollywood studios on the busy day guide ...

Thanks in advance

The fastpasses booking doesn’t open until you link tickets to your account. So without having tickets bought in advance for all of your party you would only be able to get fps for those you currently have tickets for. That said, unless you are staying onsite I doubt you’d get fps for Smugglers Run as they are booking out in advance of the 60 days for onsite guests. You can still queue for this ride though

Fastpasses are linked to tickets. You can only book fastpasses if you have tickets.

Therefore you will only be able to book fastpasses for the 2 people who currently have tickets. The other 4 people will only be able to book fastpasses on the day if you are buying the tickets at the gate. It is highly unlikely that they'll get fastpasses for Smugglers Run on the day.

Quick update -

Fast passes booked today - very happy!
Was stressed about it, now massively releived.

We made our hit list/picks in advance, had the lists ready.
But 2 tips for 1st timers prepping for their FastPass day -

1.
Watch the FastPass tutorial/walk-thru/guide vids on YouTube (Easy to google).
Understanding the process will really help you navigate the booking system.

2.
7am EST is 12pm lunch time in the UK (In February).

I was logged in & ready...
MDE didn't start letting me booking until about 12.07pm.
Panic level went through the roof in those 1st few mins

Good luck
