BA2037 Delayed almost 4 hours today

Jeez, not good (well unless there's compensation coming from it )

with an obvious knock on is going to hit those returning tonight.

My poor friend is on that flight. it didn't actually leave till 3:45p.m
We're on it next week, such a long wait.

Ours was delayed last time too - got to villa about 10pm US time, in the dark, too tired to realise the key box on the wall was invalid and we needed to type in code on a plate on the door-handle.

Phone had no signal, villa company closing in about 13 min, cue DH running up the road to get a signal and shouting instructions to me across about 100 yards.

Good Friday so everywhere shut early too - glad we had a welcome pack!

We can laugh about it now. (took a while...)

Delays are horrible, especially with children.

We are on that flight next week, fingers crossed for on time departure.

Last year we were diverted to Tampa due to weather and lack of fuel.
Finally got to hotel at 930 at night with 2 nephews 4 and 6. They did brilliantly though.

My pal has been to Heathrow twice this week.

First flight to Charlotte delayed by 4.5 hours and then cancelled. Goes back home to Yorkshire. Following day goes back to Heathrow for a flight to Phoenix, delayed 2 hours.

Final approach in to Phoenix and had to go around at the last minute. Lands in a dust and lightning storm. In his words - not the best week.

I watch the departure of this flight everyday for months and must say this is the first time I have seen it so late

I won’t say too much because of the compensation issues. This delay could have been a lot worse and could have resulted in a flight cancellation. A lot of shuffling happened and the guys within operations pulled a rabbit out of the bag to get the flight away.
