Lurpak spreadable for me but I really only eat bread/toast at the weekend usually so lasts for ages. DH likes his sunflower spread and quite happy with Morrisons own brand.

I use Stork usually for baking although I do find the Morrisons/Sainsbugs ok for this if Stork not on offer

Not surprised to see the branded butter leading so far ( especially given the disposable income of many on here ) but surprised by the level of the lead.

Got me doing a bit of research - I hadn’t realised that spreads are becoming less popular year on year , thought as a nation as a whole spread users would still outweigh butter users but not been the case for a number of years

Given the price difference £1 to £2 per kilo for spreads up to £6-£8 for butters it shows the economy as a whole ( ignoring this year ) is still strong

We used to have Lurpak at home when I was a kid . Too white for me and didn’t like the taste , and it used to rip your bread or toast to pieces . Guess the spreadablea are better for that now but are the block butters still as hard now as ever ?

Lurpak spreadable for me , but will use the Lidl dupe Danpak
DH likes butter so we always have a Welsh salted in the butter dish
I use butter for baking and you can’t beat fresh mushrooms cooked in butter with a clove of garlic

Lurpac slightly salted or Anchor slightly salted spreadable in our house. Whichever of the two has the best deal on at the time.

Proper butter , Kerrygold for choice . Must be salted butter.
Don’t have marg or those awful butter hybrids in the house .
Husband has a butter phobia , fine if I cook with it but he can’t bear to spread it , so never has it on toast or sandwiches which frankly to me is really weird

Kerrygold does a real butter that is spreadable from the fridge, and M&S have an own brand version. You just need to check that the ingredients are just cream and butter, with nothing else added.

Nowhere near as good, but it's a great substitute for the price.
