DisneyWorld covers several county areas so all would need to be in agreement for Disney to make changes.

Also the staff unions who have agreements that customers will be asked to wear masks for the remainder of 2021 (I believe it was up until then). This would probably be the biggest hurdle.

At some point this year, guests from all over the world will be visiting Disney. I think it’s only fair for their staff that masks are worn until this Covid battle is won

I agree with you that the unions are probably the most important factor. Disney is in Orange and Osceola County. Both have current mask mandates that are completely unenforceable due to our pro Trump governor removing all penalties. These mandates never covered outdoor areas the way Disney and Universal's do anyway.

Despite some of the posts above, Florida NEVER had a statewide mask mandate and the lack of mask wearing in some other counties is very noticeable. My pool supply company is on 192 but over the border in Lake County. The staff there never wear masks.

Hope it is July latest though as I can't even imagine wearing a mask in the August heat!
Orange County 19.5% fully vaccinated, with 33% at least 1 dose as of today. Currently running near 1% fully vaccinated per day. The tipping point (over 50%) could be reached in 30 days at that current rate. Even with an inevitable slowdown, I would expect it to be reached mid June. Hopefully the mask mandate will be removed at that point, with Disney & Co following shortly thereafter.

As far as I can see, 95% sits within Orange County, with only ESPN WWOS outside.

ETA: Just spotted All Star. There could be others.

Animal Kingdom pays Osceola County Sales Tax. My guess would be AKL and the All Stars are all Osceola as well.

That’s what I’m thinking/hoping 🤞🏼

So when do we think masks will be dropped then? If masks are likely to be dropped as early as next month then how much longer until Disney follows?
