The airlines have been taking peoples money throughout the pandemic. It’s been reported this morning that current restrictions will be in place in the UK until at least April so I would be wary about booking a pre summer Florida holiday

Which restriction are you talking about? From next week I am allowed to go abroad again, subject to any quarantine rules

Social distancing, mask wearing and quarantine rules. Also FCO rules to USA. And lack of travel insurance.

We went to Rhodes in August which was great although the mask wearingon the flight was a pain

I thought you meant restrictions as in we wouldn't be able to travel out of the UK.

I have been on holiday and worn a mask, doesn't bother me, quarantine doesn't affect me either

It’s not the getting out, it’s the US allowing us in of course. I reckon that could come soon for those who can show a negative test just prior to departure.

I really hope they introduce that system. At least we have a choice then. I suspect it will be the PCR test thats required as I know these rapid tests aren't that accurate so I don't think that will be acceptable.

Looks like everyone will be required to wear masks for 100 days once Biden gets in so thats good news if we do manage to get there!

I’ve pretty much got used to the masks when out and about, so that’s not a real concern for me.

Everyday now the Americans are setting new records for cases and deaths, so until they get that under control its hard to see them opening up their borders for tourists. Fauchi is talking about January being a disaster over there as all the mixing during Thanksgiving and Christmas catches up with them.

I'd be more than happy to wear a mask, no problem, been having to wear one all day over here and I'm used to it.

Still, I'm not at all hopeful for our trip in March going ahead, sadly. Not cancelling yet though...

That's no different to people saying January is going to be a disaster in this country because of Christmas.
