Question Teen boys and leg hair?

Does anyone else have teen boys who are self conscious about their leg hair?
Since he started puberty ds has started to get really really hairy legs and its got to the point that he will only wear trousers as he is so self conscious about it and he tries everything to get out of doing pe as they have to wear shorts for that. I know more men groom now and I wondered if I should suggest trying some kind of hair removal but not sure if that will just make things worse or get him bullied at school?
If we do try hair removal what do you think is the best option?

I thought only keen/professional cyclists removed leg hair! When I was a lad, those with hairy legs were considered mature and respected.

My son(now 20) has crazy hairy legs, and has had for years, he’s very proud of then, says it’s a sign of his manliness!

My boys were quite proud of their hairiness, it meant they were men lol! My dh used to cycle and shave his for racing but I’ve told him not to do it now. My oldest son is so hairy I used to veet his back, now at 28 he gets it done professionally. I’d tell him not to worry about it, everyone gets hairy eventually

I can relate to this.

My ds is very hairy and for 2 summers only wore tracksuit bottoms-
even when it was very hot.
He simply grew out of his hatred of his hairy legs; but it did take a while.

He actually moved onto chest, back, armpit & shoulders hair removal
Now embraces it all!

DS had the hairiest legs out of his friends too, so I get why your son might feel self-conscious about it. I’d buy him a body hair trimmer so that he can keep it to a level he’s more comfortable with.

My lad went through this too I caught him shaving them and asked why he said none of his mates had hairy legs. I just explained that everyone is different and it was ok just a sign of growing up. He did stop shaving and it wasn’t long before his mates caught up. He was 11 at the time his puberty came early. He ever looked back

My son is 23 and is REALLY hairy! His dad isn’t so he must get it from me 😂😂.
He was quite self conscious a few years back but now he doesn’t really bother. I think he did mention shaving but I was like “noooo you will regret starting that!” So now he is just hairy! I think as Linder said his mates caught up so he isn’t bothered now.

I would try to get him to be proud of his manly legs. Explain that the other boys will catch up soon and that they are probably very jealous.
My son is 13 and quite behind on the puberty front, he can’t wait for hairs.
My daughters best friend did not like his hairs at all and has shaved his legs since the age of 12, he was quite young for puberty. But he then hated any stubble so he shaves everyday (legs and arm pits). So it’s a big upkeep to be honest.
It’s so hard for them at this age, all the body changes and mood swings.

I would say just use a clipper with a number 3 or 4 guard rather than shaving off completely. It will still leave hair but won't look as much or as dark.
