Chazy & Ben Shanghai & Tokyo - Shanghai Disneyland 9th May
*Photo heavy!*
Park hours again 8am-8pm. We both slept through our 6.30 alarms and left just before 8. Bag check was a sail through but getting through the ticket line took half an hour! Luckily we did everything yesterday so not in a massive rush! We went to get a photopass (199rmb) I also brought a poncho (60rmb). How cute is the photopass card! (This isn't the card you give photographers this has your code on to download) We had a walk down Mickey Avenue making the most of the photopass photographers - bit of a windy start but better messy photos than none! - this is so clever - the tills are in side this part of the shop! |

We did photos with Mickey and Spiderman as they were only 5 minute waits! The bit into Mickey had the cutest pictures of the other castles around the world! (sorry it's blurred never realised! ) From there we went into once upon an adventure - so cute! We checked our to do list, grabbed an ice cream each (70rmb total) and headed to Tomorrowland to get a fastpass for Tron. We watched Baymax exercise, I had a sore throat so grabbed another ice cream whilst watching (20rmb)(any excuse!). We went into Star Wars to get some pictures with the photopass and then had a wander round the shops.
Spends for me - first anniversary notebook (49rmb), first anniversary magnet (45rmb), first anniversary phone case (99rmb), first anniversary teatowels (109rmb) some chewit type sweets (60rmb). It was time for our fastpass for Tron, we still had a 20 minute wait or so but worth it! Picked up a keyring (75rmb) & pen (89rmb) after scanning our photopass card for our Tron picture! We decided to head to the show at the castle and then head back to the hotel as Ben wanted to change. We stopped in the hotel shop (2 beers for Ben later, 2 drinks for now - honey pomelo & rock sugar pear) 70rmb. Quick battery charge & back out! We popped back into the cafe for a snack - yummy oatmeal & raisin cookie to share - 20rmb. We got back on the shuttle not long after and popped into Disneytown so that I could get some ears and sunglasses (and a pen) total 393 rmb. (The Lego shop doesn't have anything I haven't seen before) Ben picked up a Jack Sparrow! Also stopped in Spoonful of Sugar as we missed it previous days - sugar cookie for me 29rmb. We headed back to the park via the main entrance (you can re-enter via Disneytown but wanted more pics). We wandered down main street having pictures and headed to Tribal Table for a late lunch. We both had the turkey leg & rice combo with a drink & ice cream to claim at one of the stalls later - 196rmb total. (This wasn't very nice and put me off this type of ice cream so no Mickey sandwiches in Shangai or Tokyo for me!) We were going to do the camp discovery challenge trail but the wait for the lockers was huge plus a 30 minute wait. We had a wander and went into Tarzan as it was just about to start. Again not in English but you got the gist. Annoyingly one thing that they say is no phones or videoing - it's not enforced so we saw the show through the person in front! There were a couple of mishaps in the performance but they carried on. I picked up a couple more sweet treats (can't remember the price) (In the box are pocky type biscuits things) The picture doesn't show quite how pretty and sparkly the floor was! We left the park around 8pm just as the fireworks started and headed to Disneytown. We couldn't decide what to eat so agreed to go back to the hotel - just as the park emptied!
Couple more purchases (can't remember cost) It was very much push and shove on & off the bus! We stopped at Sunnyside for food. I had pork & rice with a mirinda drink (95rmb), Ben had chicken & rice with a beer (85rmb). We headed up to the room looking forward to a lie in in the morning! **Thank you so much for everyone who has taken the time to read and comment! We're currently on the flight to Dubai and then back to the UK so I hope to get my report done asap** Edited at 11:55 PM. |
