Mobile NYC plan? Any suggestions.

We are arriving at JFK at 1pm on Tuesday and leaving at 7:30 on Thursday. So a real flying visit.

Tuesday: AirTran and subway to hotel (E line has a station at our hotel). Buy 1 metro card for 4 people. Put $44 which will give us 4 trips? 2 for airport and 2 more for flexibility.

Arrive at hotel hopefully by 4pm. Wander the streets.
Find LOVE statue.
Buy I♥️ New York t shirts. (Very important!)
Find somewhere local for tea. Not big chain.

Wednesday
Breakfast at Ess a bagel
10am Take 1 day tour to cover major highlights. Travel by both boat and bus as you swing by Wall Street, the 9/11 Memorial, South Street Seaport, Federal Hall and much more. You’ll then hop aboard a luxury boat for a sightseeing cruise past the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, complete with stunning views of the New York City skyline and Brooklyn Bridge. Finish your day exploring Central Park and landmarks like Lincoln Center.

7:00 pm Aladdin
Dinner probably hot dog or pizza as time will be short.

Thursday
9am Top of the rock.

Not sure ...

3:30. Catch train back to airport.
7:30 fly to Orlando for part 2 of trip.

Thoughts or suggestions?

It's our first trip to New York in August, I'm trying to get a itinerary together it's hard work Your plan looks good fitting lots in.
Have you got your Aladdin tickets yet? I've still to purchase mine as must

Are you wanting free things or attractions? How about popping into grand central station for a wander and then grabbing some lunch. There's quite a nice food court downstairs.

If you don't want to pay for the "luxury boat tour" you can see exactly the same things from the free Staten Island ferry.

It's part of an all day tour which seems like a good option as we only have the one day. But otherwise I was planning on the Staten Island ferry.

Grand central sounds like a good idea.
I was also thinking about the High Line.

How about a horse and cart around Central Park on the Thursday. Great way to see the Central Park attractions

How about squeezing in a Thursday morning trip on The Ride? They normally have an 11am slot and is something my family will always remember.

I absolutely loved doing the open top bus tours, felt like a proper tourist, but saw so much and the guides are informative, you can do uptown, downtown and I think over the Brooklyn bridge, and there are so many stops you can hop on and off and v cheap

Chelsea Market for breakfast and then the High Line? Or the High Line and then Chelsea Market for lunch?

It gives you a totally different perspective of NYC.

Where are you staying Bev? Just thinking of your route if you're at TOTR at 9am?
