Holiday currency?
We have our third visit booked for November this year. Past visits we've used travellers chequer but noticed shops being less sure of what they are.
We get the hard sell and lots of pressure to take out travel agent money card but I'm not so keen as read of people having problems? My preferred option is travellers cheques but guess I'll have to move with the times eventually How do you take your holiday spends?

Never used TCs since the early 90's
I take £500 in $ then use a fee free CC for all other spending. I make sure I have at least one other CC just in case! If you want a travel cash card have a look for the best deal. moneysavingexpert/cre...d-travel-cards

I've read reviews of the Revolut card on here. I am planning our first trip this year and looking at using that as an alternative to cash. (It's a bit less protected, but not much gets past the silk and cobwebs of my wallet anyway haha!). There is an app that goes with it so in any eventuality that you do lose the card, you can go on to the app and disable the card instantly. Go to MSE website and have a look at recommended cards on there. Probably have some good rates too!

We are taking some dollars with us in smaller notes, we have our $200 Disney gift card and then we are also going to take a Halifax Clarity credit card as it is fee free when abroad

We are basically just taking cash. We'll use a credit card for any big purchases.

I'm taking mostly cash. I've some money on a revolut card and I've also got the Halifax Clarity Card (and another credit card) if needed.

We take around $800 cash and use a fee free credit card for the rest - Post Office, or Halifax Clarity are good. You get a better exchange rate if you pay by credit card.

Cards for me as holiday insurance doesn't cover enough cash. Money safer on revolut card to withdraw dollars and credit card for most things than in my wallet / villa / person. Will use cash sparingly for parking and tips. Cards for the rest. If some toe rag clones my cc, then I'll let the cc provider know and use the back up card. It's not MY money I'm fighting to get back...

I'm taking literally 50 quid cash and then the rest on revolut. Better exchange rate and should be safer x
