How much did you pay for Xmas school holiday?

I would love to take my 2 children to DLP for Christmas next year (not christmas day) I was wondering how much it cost you? When is the best time to book? That kind of thing.

Christmas is absolutely magical, my favourite time of the year there.

Cost wise it really depends on the dates and whether you want to stay onsite?

We went last year December 12th - 17th, stayed at Magic Circus in a family suite, it costs £650 for 2 adults and 1 child, we then paid £250 for our park tickets, and £230 for our Eurostar train.

We could have done it cheaper by not booking the family room, but we really wanted DS to have his own little room (he was only 18 months at the time), so we paid the extra.

I know Christmas week the price goes right up, however you can still do it for a decent price if you stay offsite.

If you don't mind the cost, then onsite is even better, we stayed onsite for the first time in 7 trips in April this year and we have vowed to ideally never go offsite again, funds permitted obviously.

We arrive the day before the holidays start and it’s costing us just over £1200 for 5 days for 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 6) in the Disneyland Hotel, including park tickets. It would have been cheaper in the other onsite hotels or even cheaper staying offsite, but we thought that was a great price for the DLH, and jumped at it.

We’re driving, and the tunnel cost another £150. We’ve also got the premium meal plan which cost another £800+

Wow how did you get it so cheap?

Our arrival day is a super-value day, so the whole holiday is cheap, even though some of our days are peak days. Plus we got 2 nights free, which wasn’t available for later dates. Arriving two days later would have doubled the price, and arriving on our last day would have cost over £4000 for the same holiday! (Just for the hotel and tickets, not including travel or food!)

That is still amazingly cheap! When I have looked at the 2 nights free offer in the past the DLH is still always around the 2k mark! Well done on that offer, that's amazing!

The kids broke up quite a bit earlier last year. But we went in December, took my niece out of school for the last two days as the price difference was massive. Originally booked for Cheyenne, 2 nights/days free, but when the offer changed to free half board it was cheaper to upgrade to Sequoia Lodge, than it was to add a dining plan. Back then the hotel breakfast was still included in the free plan too.

We had 4 nights/5 days, Sequoia Lodge montana room, half board plus, Buffalo Bills show (2nd grade seating), flights (from local airport, cheaper from Disney as they had luggage included for free) & transfers, Photo pass+, and our insurance (which we got from compare the market) for £1400 ish. That was 2 adults and one 8 year old.

The flights were around £300, and the transfer was maybe around £60, I can't remember exactly, and buffalo bills was about £120, maybe. Photo pass was £48. So the actual accommodation/park passes/half board was about £875 for 4 nights/5 days.

We are going this year 29th Dec - 5th Jan (7 days).
Paid £1400 for Montana room only at Sequoia Lodge.
£265 for Eurostar.
£30 return for local train to Kings Cross.
This is 2 adults/ 2 kids.
All have annual passes. All only booked last month so could have got the travel much cheaper if we’d made our minds up sooner.

The room only price above was with the 50% discount using Infinity AP. I checked on Expedia and my dates for room only are over £3k.
Hate being tied to school hols.

We went last Christmas too but stayed Christmas Eve to New Years Eve. Think that was £950 for room only at SL again with Dream AP discount.
We flew last year from Doncaster Sheffield airport think that was around £260 with 1 hold bag. Then the cost of shared shuttle with RStransport which was great value - but cant remember price though. €70?

So basically as soon as you hit the school hols you pay a fortune! Have a great time!
