I always get excited when I see all the new plants, but have trained myself to wait until May here - everything’s much later.

In the words of Jim McColl don’t cast a cloot till May is oot and the same goes for summer bedding I do start my hanging baskets off in a cold frame mid to late April and plant my tubs up in the poly tunnel on the allotment but never plant out in the garden till last week may first week June

Love a bit Beechgrove 😄 Yep end of May. The few times I think the weathers fine and plant earlier I always end up losing lots. I keep mine in the front porch where they get sun til late afternoon.
