Delicious “malt loaf” recipe and sooo easy

This is a recipe that is rather old, like out of an old Radio Times. But it makes a lovely malt loaf (no malt in it at all!). Plus it is very easy. The most difficult thing is to remember to soak the sultanas and sugar in tea the night before.

Sounds lovely but it's a tea/ fruit cake... Confused why they call it a malt loaf! I made cinnamon rolls this morning.. House smelt like cinnabon ♥

My mum used to make this but with cold tea, she called it a cold tea loaf .

My Mam used to make this too think she used to put the fruit in a pan with the tea and boil it too. Think I'll make one this week bring back memories thanks for posting 😁
