Tui reimbursement from Nicole

Just wondering whether anyone had had their costs reimbursed from Tui yet?

We were delayed by a couple of days due to Nicole. They emailed at the time stating the allowance for hotel/food and we submitted our claim a month ago. Nothing back yet though.

We claimed on 16th November and after a couple of emails the money was back in my account on 14th December. Good luck with your claim.

Just an update - they’ve contacted me to say that they are ready to pay but can only cover the cost of food, no accommodation as flight only. Yet they emailed me at the outset telling me I could. I’ve sent them a screenshot of the email.

We were flight only for Hurricane Ian. They did eventually pay us for both accommodation and food. However we did have to chase them and they did ask to see the e mail confirming what they would cover again, even though we sent it with all the invoices the first time around.
Keep pushing them and good luck

Thanks for this. Did you accept any partial payments along the way or did you hold out for the full amount?

Our extra hotel bill was over the allotted amount while our food bill was slightly under. However in fairness they did pay the quoted $180 per day hotel expenses as well as the $45 per person per day for food in full. As I said though they did need a little push, and I don't think they would have paid out without the E-mail confirmation being sent.
Still chasing them for the EC261 delayed return flight though

Best of luck

Thank you. There are four of us and they’ve offered £221 odd total for two extra nights, no breakdown of how they got there. We spent more than the $180/night on accommodation too and don’t expect anything over but it would be nice to be given what they offered!

We finally got ours back just before Xmas, £300 for losing the premium seats, £210 for food costs - we were missing some receipts so only claimed what we could show. Then yesterday we had a £100 voucher to spend on any TUI holiday as a "sorry for the delay" as this has been going on since 2nd Oct as we were stuck there when Ian struck.
