Is there anything we should be doing?

We are in a villa off the 192, is there anything we should be doing?

Wind isn’t meant to be that bad here is it?

It's not currently expected that Orlando area will experience the worst of it but this could change. Have you got water and snacks just in case?

Always make the assumption you will lose power so ensure phones and iPads are charged. Check if the Villa has any torches as they should do.

Move the pool furniture under cover if you can and if possible tie it down.

Chill and watch Netflix is what we are planning. Then back in the pool in the evening.

Fill bath with water as if electric goes off the loos dont flush and you can just chuck water down.. We saw people in the middle of a hurricane going to the pool to get buckets of water.. !
When things have passed (and if electric has gone off) you can always nip to the car and put the radio on for updates..It should say if there is a curfew or not...

We were in Florida for Wilma, we got water/drinks, snacks/food we could eat without any heating. Put pool furniture in the garage (next door didnt and theirs was floating in the pool), we also put the car in the garage (my husband decided if it got damaged we might struggle to get a replacement, as they would have lots of damaged cars to deal with). Got torches and found a few candles in the villa. We also put passports and paperwork, pillows and bedding in the downstairs bathroom as this was a room in the center of the villa, so could go to if things got back. But I don't think you will need to go that far

The only 2 things I would be doing right now are:
Watching a local news channel - they will be as up to date with all the info you need as possible.
Looking at https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.shtml and seeing where the storm is tracking.

But to be honest, where you are I'd be just keeping an eye on the news as it really doesn't look like it's going to be badly affected at all. But storms can change direction and strength pretty quickly... but would expect it to weaken when it hits land.
