Possible cyclone!

On Anna Maria island at the moment. Anyone else west coast, or close to where they reckon this tropical event will land/progress through. Kicking myself as we have rented a bungalow this time. A lot of the houses are built on stilts or garages on the bottom. Went to Walmart earlier and bought some water and food in case we get stuck. According to fox Tampa they will know more tomorrow. I have to admit to being quite anxious. We’ve experienced heavy showers previously here and it doesn’t take much to flood the roads. And getting off the island isn’t quick either. We have an SUV so I suppose that is in our favour. And the house next door to us is 3 story so I suppose if water was rushing in I’d jump next door and go up their balconies! There’s no one in there at the moment.

As they say or I say stock up on water wine snacks keep all devices power banks charged have cash keep the car topped up
And do as you are told by any local advisory and keep note of it for insurance claims
Keep all,important documents in a water proof pouch ready to lift and this is where packing cubes pop up dirty laundry basket / catch all basket come in to there own if you have to move but that’s my ocd about being tidy anywhere on holiday or

Good advice, but it makes sense being tidy and organised wherever you are, OCD is a real illness and people ( as recently described on here) can have their lives affected terribly by it.

Not having a go at you specifically as many people use the term wrongly, not understanding what a debilitating illness it is.

I guess I am sensitive about it as my sister has severe OCD, she has lost her whole family through it, including her son and grandchildren. She actually comes out in wheals on her skin if anyone as much as touches her and spends her whole day cleaning her house over and over. It’s awful to see.
