Nicole Morning Thoughts:
1. No real changes to our thinking. Tropical Storm winds will spread across our area tonight and tomorrow. The worst will be from 4am to 2 pm.

2. Winds will be somewhere between 70 and 80 mph at landfall for the East coast. Nicole will weaken some as it crosses the state. Pro Tip here. Don't freak out if all of a sudden you seeing "Breaking-Nicole now a Hurricane." That would mean it's 5 mph stronger. Meaningless.

3. Way too much dry air and shear ahead of the storm for significant development. What you see is what you get. Water still the biggest issue for the East coast, and possibly, for a few spots on the Gulf side as well.

4. Expect later tonight and Thursday to be squally. Look for some power outages. If possible, stay home Thursday. Download our app now and keep your phone charged. No power at night is lame.

5. We've been through storms like this many times. Expect winds of 40 to 50 mph along the coast. 45 to 60 inland. Not great, but not terrible. Tree limbs, pool cages, stuff like that.

6. Keep an eye on the high tide around 2am on Friday. IF we see any coastal water, that would likely be the time.

7. Rule #7. Nothing to freak out about. 12 hours of nasty weather. Stay home if you can and hunker down. We got this. Much cooler and drier air arrives this weekend.

Whilst Denis is a great forecaster he’s very much gulf side as opposed to the attractions area/Orlando.

I would recommend Eric Burris for weather concerning the Orlando area, Orange, Kissimmee and Lake Counties (attractions) as it’s much more relevant.
