yes hope it does for you. we were going September 2004 and were watching the path of Hurricane Jeanne and it was going away from Florida. we were at the gate at Manchester airport when I saw our plane pulling away from the terminal and then came the announcement that the airports in Florida had closed as the sneaky hurricane did a loop and hit Florida that weekend. so we had go home and come back on the Monday.

Hurricane Jeanne caused us to have the shortest trip ever to Florida - 3 nights and never got to a park. We arrived in Orlando from Fort Lauderdale spent a night, then phoned BA to see if they could get us home before it hit. DBIL was not so lucky, got stuck in Fort Lauderdale - his hotel closed- was put in a shelter - full of rough sleepers who took the chance of an open shelter - armed guards on the door, going to the toilet in pairs and one blanket per couple.

OP - sincerely hope it fizzles out.

Oh no! That looks like it’s heading straight for Haiti - which is not what they need!
Hopefully it’ll fizzle out before it hits either Haiti or Florida

I’m hoping it stays away too. Fingers crossed it starts to curve out to sea and goes northeastwards.

I got caught in Hurricane Ian last year 😭 Due to fly back out this Sunday. My first concern is flying conditions and associated turbulence 🙈 But ofc hope it doesn't make landfall for Haiti or Florida 🙏

I think it would take some effort to cross the entire Atlantic, hit the Caribbean and still be on a trajectory for Florida

If you look at the projections on Windy.com its predicting to swing in a northernly direction from Sunday Night. Play about with the slider along the bottom and youll see their projections

By Tuesday next week they’ve got it heading north-east. All the models so far bar a couple have it curving back out to the Atlantic by this time next week which I’m hoping is the case if it develops at all.
