Yes we are late August too. It’s always a worry lurking in back of my mind. Obviously much worse for the people living in hurricane zones.

Seen a lot of “could” and “might” in that article. At the end of the day we can’t control it so I’m not going to worry about it.

Been there for 3 hurricanes, Irma, Ian and Idalia (just realised all beginning with I) so fingers crossed not another one but then we should know by now not to book September 🤦🏻 😊

We've had 3 over the years too! Ivan (pre internet) Virgin rang and said don't go to the airport there's a hurricane, we lost the first 3 days of the holiday and had to wait for them to ring again and tell us we were flying next morning; Dorian - DCL cancelled last minute as we flew in and we had to find alternative accommodation and then last year Ian - spent 2 days holed up in the Dolphin - but ever hopeful we're off again this September

Hard to imagine days before internet now. Being not able to obsessively follow hurricanes possible paths on the weeks before your holiday would be a bonus. 😬
