I would've held out anyway- Something will come up. We booked in January to Miami for £550 pp but only because we are taking extra people this time otherwise I would have held out.

There are really good prices out there or will be. It just depends what you prepared to do. One year we flew from Oslo as it was so much cheaper- we flew to Oslo in the morning then around lunchtime I think -went to Orlando.

We've built in extra days in other countries with over nights to take advantage of flights from different countries and still saved a bundle.

I say this as there are really good flights from Norway and Sweden for your dates for around £322 pp if you fly a day before enjoy a day in Stockholm or Oslo and a night at the end with the extra cost of flights and accommodation to get there and stay will still keep your flight costs down under £450.

Anyway that's not for everyone

Just saying there are lots of ways of getting there and there is always something. For us flying indirect and even getting to visit a different city on the way is a bonus!

But yes I know there's not many that will do that.

There is a really old thread on here if anyone is interested in making significant savings, someone took a long time showing the alternative options to travelling direct when it could offer massive savings. I'll try and link it in case anyone is interested.

However ultimately - there is always something that comes up that you're happy with.

We are still waiting to book the flights. We've got 4 adults and 1 child from the 9th to the 30th. However there is possibly an additional adult coming out on the 9th but returning on the 23rd. I'm waiting for Easter to see if any sales are released but if not I'll start looking at indirect options.
