Currently on the sun princess doing a transatlantic, supposed to be arriving at Fort Lauderdale on the 8th to disembark on the 9th
Now been told we are not going into port until the 11th. We are staying at sea. Have to try and get in touch with hotel and car hire. Princess have given free WiFi for those that didn’t have it to get things sorted. Another 2 days at sea makes this an 18 day cruise. Stay safe everyone

Thanks everyone.
We had to have 3 medical evacuations this morning. 1 via helicopter and the other 2 by boat. Hope whoever they took off recovers. The ship doesn’t have a helipad so they had to drop the basket off the port side whilst hovering onto the upper decks. Ship had to stop close to port Everglades in the distance.   Everything changed. The car hire has actually cost us £20 more for 2 days less. Hey ho. We need it so had to pay it. Captains taking us down Bahamas - Cuba way to stay clear of Milton.

I’ve been following a fb group on the Sun Princess inaugural transatlantic - hope your new route keeps everyone safe.
We left Southampton on Sunday on the Regal Princess, 21 days heading to Galveston. Immediately after our first port (Le Havre) the captain announced our two stops in Bilbao and Vigo were cancelled due to tropical storm Kirk and we are heading north to Cobh, Ireland! After that there is some doubt whether we will head to Madeira because of storms Leslie and Milton. It’s becoming a bit of a mystery cruise! |

We’re just cruising off the coast of Cuba at the moment. Weather is good.
