Man To MCO AER LINGUS WED OR THURS

Hi, anyone on here had todays (wed 9th) man-mco 11:05 cancelled?
If so what were your options and if you have rebooked, when did they offer you to go out?
We’re supposed to be on tomorrows flight out at 11:05 man-mco but still haven’t heard if cancelled or not and not sure when they will have availability for us to go. Just wanted to see what they offered todays cancelled flight?

Both flights are cancelled tomorrow. My friend was supposed to be on the Thursday flight from MCO to London and she's had a notification of rebooking.

Hurricane Milton, potential weather disruption in Orlando
We are aware of the impending arrival of Hurricane Milton and potential travel disruption to the Orlando MCO region on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th October. Passengers due to travel on these days can rebook travel to an alternative date within next 7 days, subject to availability, without a change fee. Rebooking must be in the same cabin or fare difference will apply.

I would get on that asap if I was you. I doubt your flight on Thursday morning will be going to MCO as it'll be 4am there and the hurricane will not even have hit Orlando area yet.

My friend is supposed to be flying on this tomorrow morning and travelling down by train to Manchester today.

She can’t get through to Aer Lingus they are saying their systems are down. She doesn’t know what to do, her flight is still showing as going tomorrow on the app!

The flight tomorrow is extremely unlikely to go.

I found this guidance for you "Aer Lingus has issued guidance for travelers impacted by Hurricane Milton, allowing flexibility for those with flights scheduled through affected areas, such as Orlando (MCO), on October 9 and 10, 2024. Passengers booked on these dates can rebook flights to alternative dates without change fees, provided travel is completed by October 19, 2024. Any fare differences are also waived, as long as the new flights match the original origin, destination, and cabin class.

Customers who prefer to cancel rather than rebook are eligible for refunds according to the fare rules. It's advised to update contact details in bookings to receive direct notifications about any changes. For more information, check Aer Lingus's official travel updates page. "

Been on the phone to Aer Lingus and they have said theres nothing they can do with regards to tomorrow’s flight until it has been confirmed to be cancelled.
We could change to another date voluntarily but the dates are not suitable for us. So we wait and see what happens and hope they will come up with something more suitable after cancellation is confirmed 🤷🏻🤷🏻
