So glad we no longer have to worry although we are flying into Miami on Sunday. Feel your pain and am glad to report we never had snakes in the pool pipes. Did have ds go outside one day and tell me to stay indoors but I did see him speak to our neighbour then appear with a net. Turns out he had seen something swimming in the pool which shouldn’t have been there and was using the net to evict it.

the storm has now lost strength after making landfall in Cuba and is now classed as a Tropical Storm

Oscar is still causing very heavy rainfall over eastern Cuba but the winds are now down to 40mph sustained and the storm is still projected to turn North East and head towards the Bahamas later today
