I had an email there's been a change in application so I went on ESTA website and it says it's approved.

Thank you for your help everyone.

if you have answered the questions correctly then there should not be an issue.

As the ESTA can be used for multiple trip there is no point in putting in an address where you are staying as this will/may change on each trip. They are not going to ring the hotel and check!
Even if you are transiting the first time you don't need to change it the second trip.

They are only concerned about the answers to the questions

You can put unknown for point of contact in USA and also for first nights accommodation. If you hover over the question box it will show that you can do this. Too late for OP but may help others.

Although my existing ESTA was still valid for another year I needed to re apply due to getting a new passport... I did this yesterday and I had the authorization approval through within an hour or so. I used the ESTA app for the first time and as part of the app application process I was able to scan my passport via the app and also the app was able to read the chip in my new passport using NFC technology, this allowed a number of fields in the application to be populated from the data acquired in both the photo and the NFC scan. It certainly sped up the apication process and it's well worth using in my opinion. It also saves a copy of your ESTA on your phone too.

OMG I hate this.
Been going Orlando for at least 18 years and when Estas came in I just hate doing it.
I did ours yesterday 8.30am and it’s still pending.
Makes your worry like mad 😭 and think your not going to get it.
I even rang the bank yesterday to check if they were holding the payment back.
Never waited so long.
I’ve dowloaded the app to see and yep still pending

We did ours via the website on Friday, took photos on phone and then uploaded to the ESTA applications. 3 of them done in about 30 mins as a group for payment purposes and all approved in an hour.
