Easter crowds

Just wondering how quickly the crowds ease after Easter itself has gone?

Went in Easter 2023 and the difference was very noticeable. We flew out on the Good Friday and the first week was very busy everywhere. I think by our 10th Day ( would have been the Monday after Easter Monday ) it seemed like everywhere was empty by comparison, reflected in the wait times and price of Genie+.

Yeah Americans don’t get enough days off to hang around, the crowds cool down considerably from a few days after Easter onwards.

I didn't think Easter was really a thing in the US, certainly not in terms of holidays. I made the mistake of heading over there to work for a couple of weeks, missed out on my bank holidays 'cos they were all in the office!

I think it gets busier when Easter is early as that condenses when they take Spring Break, but because Easter is so late this year, Spring Break is spread across all of March, meaning everywhere's slightly busier than normal, but not crazy.

I flying out in two weeks time and returning in Good Friday, I am curious as to what the crowd levels will be like. Research indicates that the bulk of the states started Spring Break in the last couple of weeks and only a few areas are off around Easter……

One week before I need to make a decision on LLMPs……and see the prices!

We've only been at Easter once before and found it to be the our busiest trip, vowed not to go then again.
Gone May/June/end of August and October and all quieter than Easter. Think its because the UK tourists are all trying to go same 2 weeks.

Easter crowds can depend on when Easter falls. It was early last year so busy because of spring break but we have been when Easter has been late (like it is this year) and apart from the weekend itself which was very busy it was fine as spring breaks had generally finished by then.
Saying that we went for 3 weeks last year and the last week was quiet (which was the last week of uk Easter hols) which was a huge bonus for us

I suspect it varies a little depending on how early or late Easter is, whether it coincides with Spring Break or another holiday period. Looking at wait times on thrill-data.com:

Last year 2024, Easter Sunday was 31st March and the Easter crowds didn't subside until 6th April (i.e. about a week after Easter).

In 2023, Easter Sunday was 9th April and the Easter crowds subsided around 14th April (i.e. about 5 days later).

In 2022, Easter Sunday was 17th April and the Easter crowds subsided around 22nd April (again, 5 days later), although the increase in crowds at Easter wasn't as noticeable so it's difficult to determine. As jayc89 mentioned earlier, because Easter was later then the crowd levels were more spread out than when Easter is early.

Based on the above, I suspect the Easter crowds this year won't completely drop off until around 25th April. However, Easter crowds won't be as bad as they are when Easter is earlier in the year.

We are looking at going March 2026. Flying out the week before Good Friday and doing park time until boarding a cruise ship on Good Friday. Based on trends is the assessment that we should expect it to be very busy for our park days? I am struggling to work out the pattern and spring break impact etc
