is the pain a pinchy type of pain.. if so it could be a trapped nerve.. in which case it would be cold pack or heat pack ibuprofen and paracetamol.. pain should go in a few days..

or it could be a kidney infection in that case drink plenty of water and cranberry juice too ( she would be passing urine frequently if it was this)

but if in doubt contact insurer and seek medical advice...

Hope her back feels better soon. As others say if you need to contact a Dr ring your medical insurance first.

I suffer from back pain too on occasion and it can go from mild to severe.

I find my shoes/footwear is a large part of my problems.
ill fitting runners or not enough cushioning can make my walking unbalanced, putting pressure on my hips/back or knees.

I use extra cushioning in my runners, a knee support, deep heat spray, a hot water bottle and tiger balm.
I find these all help me, as does a diet which includes kale, nettles, ginger and chillis!

perhaps all that walking has put pressure on her back and she needs to rest a while. This is exactly what happened to me last year. I got through disney ok-BUT stayed at the hotel pool whilst ds did universal as i just couldn't manage it!

I hope she gets sorted soon.

good luck

Thanks guys for all your suggestions.

We went to Walgreens and got some painkillers which have helped a lot. Also been using tiger balm and heat pack.

We took it easy for the rest of the day.

Will see how she is tomorrow morning and if in doubt will contact insurers but it does seem quite a lot better.

Just t add to what others have said the large walgreens (across the road from the golden coral/big maccyds) also has nurse practioners - i had to use them the other year for an ear infection- consultation, strong antibiotics, painkillers and some drops cost me $185 which wasnt too bad to pay OOP i didnt bother with my insurance as I had a $200 excess

There is no point calling virgin they can’t help you , you need to call your insurance company and follow there advice. If they say to go to hospital or a doctors take all your insurance documents with you and your credit card as you will be needing it , hope you get things sorted

I've suffered from back pain for years which had only recently been identified as being caused by my hip flexor muscles. The thing for it for me has been walking andcswimming. It might be worth having a day with in the pool with a gentle stroll around your resort

Alternating ice and heat always helped me, maybe consider a physio session?

as PP, alternate ice and heat. Although I find ice better, it can take swelling down. Also ibroprofen, and walk and stretch regularly, although it’s tempting to rest and not move about.
