Bringing Car to Resort, Non Guest (at resort)

Staying on-site at CSR and wanted to try some QS outlets at other resorts, such as AKL for example.

Are you allowed to take car into hotel and park, obviously away from guests rooms.

We went to Beaches and Cream a few years ago and they were quite stringent about letting us in with car. Name on reservation list etc. but at CSR it's quite lax, you can park without going near security.

Don't really want to go via Disney Springs to hop and off of buses if I can take car.

They are really strict if you dont have a reservation for dinning or a show. This stops people parking and going to the parks for free.
I wouldn't chance it tbh, unless you book an ADR at the resort. Even then you have a limited time in the car park.

Totally down to security on the day, I would expect that you would be ok at AKl but any of the Epcot or MK resorts...no chance they've probably heard every "excuse" in the book & will need a confirmed Res No.

You will be fine to just visit the hotel and park in the day no problem.

The fee is for overnight parking only. - ie - to make as much money from those staying over. they still welcome those not staying to park for free as they will be spending $$$ - just like Disney Springs.

See the Disney website -

disneyholidays/walt...d/faq/parking/

Will Day Guests to Disney Resort Hotels be charged for parking?

Complimentary standard self-parking is available for Guests visiting Disney Resort Hotels for the day to enjoy select dining, shopping, entertainment and recreation experiences.

if thats not a clear statement, im not sure what is.

How do you park at any of the hotels without going through security? We certainly couldn't when we stayed at CSR last time.
At AKL you have to go in via security who want to know if you have an ADR as quite a lot of people do come to eat there. But there is also a time limit if you are. Unless all that has changed since 2016. Pretty poor if your staying at a hotel and cant get a car park space because they taken with people just coming for a look round, or park there and get the bus into one of the parks for the day !

Disney wants you to visit other resorts (and spend money! ) and if they wished could easily put a system in place to charge for parking for day guests, but they have not! You will be fine to park 🙂

There seems to be 2 different threads here, it's free to park unless you are staying overnight but in the popular resorts you won't get in without a dining reservation- they check it off their clipboard!

That's because they are proactively checking people, but if you arrive and say you are coming for a look around or going to eat or wait for table it's no problem.
