Are Lingus Loss of Prebooked Seats

Hi all,

I have an email today saying that our seats which were Prebooked as part of our fare are now no longer available due to a schedule change.

I called the Aer Lingus help line who assured me that we would be seated together on check in and that he was adding note to the booking.

Problem is that we have 2 children on our booking so really need to sit together and I am worried about what will be available. Also, I chose this fare because it allowed seat selection!

He said that we will receive better seats on check in and that test would be of additional value but I am very sceptical and a natural worrier anyway.

Any advice?

My friends were in a similar position in february with aer lingus. Plus 3 of the children had autism. they were frantic.
BUT filled in an on-line form for the children and stipulated they HAD TO have seats together and children seated with them.
They contacted customer service a week or so later and were told their requests had been noted.

On check-in, their seats were perfect.near the front 2 across and 4 across. They were delighted.
If worried, go to their website and fill out the special request form and follow up with customer service.That way you have a record of whats happened and they'll sort you out at check-in as not all their seats are reserved. They have to keep a quotia for check-in.
