I did ours yesterday without DH’s middle name, it didn’t ask for a middle name when I applied so hopefully we’ll be ok

If you click on the little question mark it tells you to put all names in including middle names. I did my sons too without his middle name, so I’m going to re-do his.

You only see the info about middle names being required if you click on the ? to get the information box when you're on the given names section. Not great if they are wanting them - there should really be a separate field, or it should say given name including middle name. I bet loads of people don't click on the info section, especially if they've done them before.

What effect it will actually have with the middle name missing, I have no idea!

Can I double check?
So,as long as the esta was authorised (without the middle names)prior to Oct 2018, there is no need to redo them?
We are travelling in 7 weeks and did our esta in June 18.😄

Yes, that seems to be the case.

OMG I have literally just done mine (for 4 ppl an hr ago! ) . This is ridiculous I didn’t click on that as it clearly states first name! I haven’t been on the Dibb today otherwise I would have seen this.
I’m going to have to do them again - what a waste of £40! I was stressed doing them anyway.
Mine was still in date as I did it Feb 18 so will this one be okay.
So do I just go ahead and redo a new application will it know I have new ESTAS and give a message?

I’m really annoyed as I do check the ? but didn’t on that as it clearly says first name. The ? are helpful guides if you don’t understand what is required!
